Whether you work hard, you play hard or a bit of both, your legs carry you everywhere you go. Millions of Americans are not living their best lives because of unsightly, painful varicose veins. Southern California Vein Center is a state of the art medical practice that is focused on the treatment of varicose veins and venous insufficiency. Each of our patients is unique. Our journey together begins with a diagnosis and treatment plan that is specific to your needs. Let us help you to get your legs back. Get your life back.
Varicose veins are bulging, rope like veins that are found on the legs. They can be bluish in color. Varicose veins can be painful. If the thin skin that covers the veins tears, bleeding can occur.Learn More
Spider veins are also called reticular veins. They are often seen as a precursor to a larger more serious problem. They are often treated with a sclerosing agent injected directly into the vein with a very fine needle and syringe.Learn More
Leg swelling can be a sign of venous insufficiency, congestive heart failure, deep vein thrombosis or a compressed vein in the pelvis. The best way to make the diagnosis is an ultrasound. Often, in addition to the ultrasound, a special CT scan is needed to make the diagnosis.
Untreated leg swelling can cause darkening of the skin (hyperpigmentation) and ulceration.
